About UPL

The University Press Limited (UPL) is a leading publisher based in Bangladesh, specializing in educational, academic and scholarly books both in the English and Bangla languages. UPL was set up as a publishing company in 1975by Mohiuddin Ahmed, previously the Chief Executive of OUP, Bangladesh.

UPL has since published over 1200 titles of which about 600 live titles are on its list and has presently an on-going publishing program of about 20 titles a year.

On the eve of its 40 th anniversary, UPL pledged itself to a program on library development with the goal towards enhancing a knowledge-based society. The Adopt-a- Library program is a major step in that direction.
